Female Athlete of the Week
Congratulations to our female athlete of the week!
Grace Meyer - WBB
It was a record breaking weekend for second year guard, Grace Meyer! Scoring a massive 57 points with 17 rebounds in two-games, she has solidified herself as a force on this Lions team. Meyer broke two individual records on Saturday against the Medicine Hat Rattlers, scoring most points in a single game (33) and making the most 3-point shots in a single game (7). This rightfully earned her Player of the Game. On top of her success, she managed six steals. Her determination and hustle on the floor all weekend were a demonstration of beautiful basketball.

Male Athlete of the Week
Congratulations to our male athlete of the week!
Ty Schenk - MBB
Ty Schenk, a third year guard out of Lumsden, SK, made a mark for his team this weekend in back-to-back battles against the Medicine Hat Rattlers. Not only was he instrumental in a last second win Friday night, Schenk had an incredible high 28-points! The next day, he added another 17 to the stats sheet. His performance earned him Player of the Game honours Friday. Schenk has been on an upward trajectory this season and it is safe to say the sky is the limit.
