ACAC Athletes of the Week

 

 

ANDRIJANA BOKAN, WBB

 
Andrijana Bokan was a powerhouse in Ambrose's final regular season game of the fall semester, putting up a double-double with 20 points and 16 rebounds against the ACAC women's basketball leaders, the TKU Eagles. 
 
Her leadership and knowledge were a necessity on the court to keep this team competitive through all 40 minutes of play. 
 
Andrijana has also set herself up nicely to reach her career 1000th point in the first weekend back in January 2026, sitting only 18 away. 
 
Andrijana Bokan is a fourth year post player from Bijeljina, Bosnia and Hercegovina, studying psychology.

That is a wrap on the fall semester for the Ambrose Lions! They are back on the court for the January 9/10 weekend when they take on the Olds College Broncos. Be prepared to celebrate as Andrijana Bokan sits only 18 points from here 1000 point milestone!

 


 

EDGERREN CAPUNO, MBB

 
Edgerren Capuno was truly a powerhouse Friday night in a hard-fought win over the Kings University Eagles! The guard joined the Ambrose Lions earlier this year after starting his collegiate career at Fanshawe College, and has been nothing short of an incredible addition. 
He demonstrated his IQ and patience on the floor in what was a fast-paced battle to wrap up the fall semester. Capuno played with intention and focus, utilizing his speed when it counted, becoming the tipping point that led to the Lions win. 
 
Capuno made an impressive 78 per cent from the field, with 20 points on the board, along with four assists and three steals.
 
Edgerren Capuno is a fourth-year Business Administration major from Winnipeg, MB.

The Lions MBB team has already surpassed their record from last season, putting them in good spirits heading into the second half of the year!
