ACAC Athlete of the Week
First-year goalkeeper Noah Nielsen played a pivotal role in leading the Ambrose Lions men's soccer team to an undefeated weekend. He earned his first career clean sheet in a hard-fought 0–0 draw against Lethbridge on Saturday, then came on in the 44th minute on Sunday against Red Deer Polytechnic to help secure a 2–1 victory. Across both matches, Neilson kept his personal record undefeated and did not concede a single goal all weekend.
He has already emerged as one of the conference's top goalkeepers. He currently ranks third in the ACAC (first amongst first years)and leads the ACAC South Division with a .846 save percentage, backed by 22 total saves. His consistency, composure, and ability to deliver in pressure moments have provided the Lions with a steady presence in goal, instilling both confidence and momentum in the squad.
Noah Neilson is a first year History student hailing from Guelph, ON.
