ACAC Athlete of the Week
Isaiah McMahon, a first year business administration student from Chilliwack, was pivotal in leading the Lions through an undefeated weekend, helping secure our first win of the season against Olds and a hard-earned point against Red Deer Polytechnic.
On Saturday, McMahon delivered a dominant performance with three goals and an assist, becoming the first Ambrose Lions soccer player to record a hat trick in an ACAC league game. This was also instrumental in leading the team to a program record, the most goals in a single regular season game (5). He followed that up on Sunday by converting two more penalties, going a perfect three-for-three from the spot over the weekend, to ensure the draw against Red Deer.
Across the weekend, he led the team in shots and chances created, making an immediate impact in his first season.
